Car Buying Tips That Can Save You Tons of Money

Buying a new car should be an enjoyable experience, however, I can tell you from first hand experience that it can be a nightmare if you walk onto the car lot unprepared. I've purchased several new cars in my lifetime and I have learned a thing or two about buying a new car.

I've outlined my top three new car buying tips below that I think anyone in the market for a new car should use. Being prepared as possible can make your car buying experience go much more smoothly. You can leave the lot feeling like you have made a good purchase and saved money as well.

First off, the thought of picking out a new car is an exciting time. The last thing you want to do is get to the car dealership and purchase a car with your emotions. The more excited you are, the higher the chances the car salesman will get you to pay far more than you were expecting.

Second, research the car you are wanting to buy. Find out the various models available, features, and pricing options. Knowing this information before hand can save you a lot of time and money.

Third, secure your car loan before you buy your car. You will be amazed at how much time you will save in the negotiation process. You are more likely to get a much better rate than you would financing though a car dealer. Many people I know have secured financing through a credit union. Most credit unions offer very competitive rates.

You want to keep the haggling to a minimum. The car salesmen will do their best to get you to pay the highest price and pay for the most add-ons. Your job is to be well prepared before you even begin talking to anyone on the car lot.

Those are my car buying tips but there are tons of "car buying secrets" that everyone should know before buying a car from the dealer. I have reviewed a great resource below that I think will help you save some serious money.

Good luck with your next car purchase!
