New Car Buying Advice You'll Be Glad to Know

When I purchased my very first car, I thought it was exciting and fun. Throughout the years when I bought new cars I began to dread the entire process. You probably know what I'm talking about. You have to deal with negotiating every detail from the price to the options in the vehicle.

I don't blame you for researching new car buying advice. Car buying advice is something I never really took the time to research, but now, after a lot of years of car buying, I have some car buying advice of my own I'd like to pass along.

1. Choosing a salesperson - I know this sounds crazy because it is not uncommon to lump all car sales people into one category - and that is slick-talking salesmen. However, you should test out your salesperson because the last thing you need is a pushy person who only wants to make a sale. You can test out your car sales person by asking some basic questions about the car and observe how they respond. Are they friendly and answer your questions to your satisfaction? Or are they in a hurry and changing the subject?

2. Research the car you want - This is crucial yet something most people do not do when buying a new car. They walk onto the car lot having no idea what the car's standard options are or if their are any incentives available. You should be armed with this knowledge before you begin negotiations.

3. Know your extra expenses - Many folks only think about the price of the car but forget to consider the extra expenses like sales tax, registration fees, as well as other fees depending on your state. Realizing this won't make the final price tag a shock to you.

Those are my car buying tips but there are tons of "car buying secrets" that everyone should know before buying a car from the dealer. I have reviewed a great resource below that I think will help you save some serious money.
