2017 New York Preview: Lincoln teases the next-gen Navigator's daytime-running lights

2017 New York Preview: Lincoln teases the next-gen Navigator's daytime-running lights Lincoln’s flagship SUV first debuted as a concept last year. Now, it’s heading for a reveal in New York in production form.

What’s going on?
Back in 2016, Lincoln introduced a wicked Navigator Concept, previewing an all-new next-generation model. Despite all odds and pressure from the push to produce more fuel-efficient vehicles, demand for the Navigator seems to be alive and well. That said, Lincoln just tweeted a picture to tease the new Navigator. At least, now we can see what the production model’s daytime-running lights look like.
Click here for more news on the Lincoln Navigator.
Any details on the new Lincoln Navigator?
Not yet, and that’s because its scheduled for a debut on Wednesday morning, at 9:45 AM EST.
But from what we know and expect, the next-gen Lincoln Navigator, like all previous Navigators, is based on the latest Ford Expedition. In this case, we’re likely to see Ford’s venerable 3.5L EcoBoost V6 under the hood. Power figures are guesstimated to hover around 380 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque with an all-new 10-speed automatic.
Additionally, rumors indicate the new Navigator will go on a massive diet of a few hundred pounds, thanks to extensive use of aluminum, like its related Ford F150 cousin.
Just don’t expect those gullwing doors to show up on the production model. Sadly.

2017 New York Preview: This is the new Hellcat-ified Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk

2017 New York Preview: This is the new Hellcat-ified Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk After many rumors, spy shots, and teasers, Jeep finally reveals the production Hellcat-ified Grand Cherokee of our dreams.

What’s going on?
In a literal power move that defies all odds, Jeep just unveiled one of the most anticipated new cars of 2017. Meet the hot-new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Edition and as expected, it’s basically a Grand Cherokee Hellcat with 707 horsepower.
Wow! Finally, the production Grand Cherokee Trackhawk!

Yes! As predicted, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk gets the same whopping 6.2L supercharged V8 as the Challenger and Charger Hellcat. In the Jeep’s application, SRT tweaked the V8 to churn out the same 707 horses remain while torque measures in at 645 pound-feet, versus the Challenger’s and Charger’s 650. This is most likely out of respects to Grand Cherokee’s all-wheel drive system and single-speed transfer case.
Either way, with a ZF eight-speed automatic sitting at the transaxle, Jeep claims the Trackhawk will hit 60 in just 3.5 seconds for a quarter mile time of 11.6 seconds. Those numbers are pretty much the same as the Challenger Hellcat.
Not just more power either…

The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk gets an electronically controlled limited-slip differential to cope with the extra oomph. The rear-drive, half-shaft, and transfer case are all toughened up. And power is split 40/60 front/rear with the all-wheel drive system. That can change however at the touch of a button, thanks to the Jeep’s latest driver selectable programming mode. The 40/60 power split is standard while the car is in its Normal setting. Select the sportiest “Track” mode, and the all-wheel drive system changes the power delivery to 30/70 front/rear. Experience an inclement of weather, and opting for the “Snow” mode alters the traction and stability systems while splitting the power evenly 50/50 front/rear.
When it comes to cutting speed, larger, beefier Brembos do the duty. Six-piston calipers with 15.75-inch rotors sit up front with Jeep claiming they’re the largest front brakes ever fitted to one of their models. Four-piston clamps with 13.73-inch rotors sit at the back.

Rounding out the package is a far more aggressive body kit. For instance, the lower front fascia is larger to help cool the 6.2L V8. Wide, bespoke 20-inch wheels are standard. And Nappa leather and suede festoon the insides with options varying from an 825-watt premium sound system to a panoramic roof.
How much will it cost?
Those details are withheld at the moment. Though we expect pricing details to surface during Jeep’s press conference.

Ford Introduces Ranger & Raptor To China

Ford Introduces Ranger & Raptor To China

Ford Motor Company is unveiling its trucks in China to meet the country’s budding pickup market. Ford President and CEO Mark Fields is in Shanghai this weekend to outline the automaker’s strategy. Pricing for the new F-150 Raptor will be announced along with plans to sell the Ranger in China next year.
Recently, shipments of the F-150 Raptor were sent to China while Ranger remains the best-selling midsize truck in Europe, South Africa, and New Zealand
“We’re very excited to bring Built Ford Tough, one of the world’s best loved and most successful brands, to customers in the world’s largest auto market,” Fields said.
Growing Demand
Although tucks represent barely two percent of the Chinese market, the winds of opportunity for Ford are still blowing. The automaker did exhaustive research, finding that Chinese customers thought most pickups fit the typical truck image: lacking features, not very comfortable etc. However, through television, film, and the internet, Chinese customers are more aware of the modern truck. Ford believes this creates potential growth in the market.
“We see a significant white-space opportunity with Chinese buyers increasingly looking for more capable, more refined, and more stylish pickups,” Fields said.
In fact, China is currently the fourth largest truck market with 14 percent growth last year alone. Ford’s research also indicates that Chinese customers lead active lives, both at work and at home, creating a need for an useful but comfortable pickup. At the same time, China is easing restrictions on truck usage.
“We see an opportunity to satisfy unmet need in China – for world-class, stylish, and refined pickups – and also to be a pioneer in this emerging segment,” said Dave Schoch, President of Ford Asia Pacific and CEO, Ford China.

Ranger & Raptor
The F-150 Raptor will introduce Chinese customers to one of the world’s most capable off-road trucks. The Raptor features an exclusive high-output version of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine mated with a Ford-built 10-speed automatic transmission. Other off-road signatures include 3.0-inch FOX Racing Shox and 17-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires.
“The F-150 Raptor has created a lot of buzz among Chinese customers since it was revealed for the first time last year and we are extremely excited to have it arriving in our showrooms in China, ready to be delivered to customers,” said Peter Fleet, Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford Asia Pacific.
The Ranger is the second best-selling midsize truck globally outside North America. Ford has designed the truck with a fine balance of capability, refinement, and technology. The automaker believes the diversity and history of their trucks will find favor with Chinese buyers.
“Built Ford Tough is a proven brand, dating back to 1976 and we believe it has the opportunity to resonate powerfully with Chinese consumers,” Schoch said.
Ford has sold more than 26 million F-Series since 1977, making it the top-selling truck in America for 40 consecutive years, and the country’s best-selling vehicle overall for 35 years.

Is The 2020 Audi e-tron Sportback Coming For Tesla’s Lunch Money?

Is The 2020 Audi e-tron Sportback Coming For Tesla’s Lunch Money?

2020 Audi e-tron SportbackFast FactsEPA-Estimated Range218 Miles Total Battery Capacity95 kWhTotal System Horsepower355Zero to 605.5 Seconds towing capacity 4,000 lbs.

Audi has just rolled out its 2020 e-tron Sportback, their second fully-electric model. It’s one of those coupe SUV things that are very popular in some quarters. And if the growing popularity of EVs continues, the 2020 Audi e-tron Sportback could be coming for Elon’s lunch money.

The 2020 Audi e-tron Sportback is a smaller, swoopier version of the e-tron SUV I had occasion to drive in Scottsdale, Arizona last year. If it behaves anything like that (and I have every expectation it will), the e-tron Sportback will be much faster than you expect. It will also be very German, very well-made, rather luxurious, and about as engaging as a can opener, the surprising acceleration aside.

I have no idea what mainstream automakers need to do to make a gearhead say, “Man that was a blast! I’ve got to get me one of these!” about an EV. Hopefully, they’ll figure it out, because we’ve got to stop poisoning this planet but we also need to have fun rides.

Anyway, so what does the 2020 Audi e-tron Sportback bring to the table? Let’s take a look.

Connectivity & Cockpit Technology

Besides all that SUV-coupe-like styling, which Audi goes into great detail about (they say it combines the “functionality of a spacious SUV with the elegance of a four-door coupe,” and on and on they go), it does have some practical stuff. For example, the 2020 Audi e-tron Sportback has room for five and lots of luggage space. Along with the sunroof is the Audi MMI touch response system to control seemingly everything inside.

Since this is an EV, the Sportback features a detailed map estimating where and how far you can travel on the current charge. If you’re going for a long trip, the MMI system suggests charging stations along the route, which is something Tesla already does, but it’s nice to see others adopting the idea.

There’s an e-tron-specific virtual cockpit display that provides charging, battery, route, and other information in the driver’s line of sight, directly behind the steering wheel where the traditional gauge cluster lives. The e-tron Sportback also has Amazon Alexa combined with an active Audi connect PRIME subscription. This way you can access news, music, audiobooks, and control Alexa-enabled devices directly from the steering wheel.

Audi calls that last bit vehicle-to-infrastructure (or V2I) technology. Pay attention to that term as you’ll probably be seeing more of it in the future.

2020 Audi e-tron Sportback interior layout. Photo: Audi of America, Inc.Chassis, Battery Capacity & Power Output

The real meat in the sandwich is the electronic drivetrain and how it works. There is an asynchronous electric motor at both axles, which makes for a pretty easy opportunity for an electric version of Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system. An Audi-developed battery system (95 kWh total capacity) sits low in the vehicle within a protective honeycomb structure. All of the heaviest components are concentrated in the middle for a lower center of gravity, 50:50 weight distribution, and responsive yet neutral steering.

The e-tron Sportback achieves 355 horsepower, but you can kick the thing into “Boost Mode” to increases the output to 402 horsepower! With Boost Mode, you can reach 60 in 5.5 seconds. However, don’t try racing a Tesla Model X. With Ludicrous Mode engaged, the Model X hits 60 in 2.6 seconds.

Charging is one of the big bug-a-boos for EVs, but Audi seems to get ahead of the power curve in this arena. Audi says just 10 minutes on a high-speed public charger will give the e-tron Sportback 58 miles, or an hour of drive time. Stop just 30 minutes for lunch, and the range expands to 174 miles, or about three hours of drive time according to Audi.

The e-tron Sportback has what Audi calls a “flexible thermal management system,” allowing for 150 kW rapid-charging capability with a high-speed commercial charger. Four separate circuits comprise the thermal management system to regulate the temperature of the high-voltage components.

With a starting price of $77,400 (before the $7,500 tax credit), the 2020 Audi e-tron Sportback looks like it could pull away potential Tesla Model X buyers. Starting MSRP for the Model X is around $85,000. We compared an Audi and a Tesla last year as part of a virtual showdown. We might have to do it again!

Expect the e-tron Sportback at Audi dealerships this summer.

These U.S. Launch Edition units come in a Plasma blue metallic paint with Dynamic orange brake calipers. Monaco Gray Valcona leather seats, two-tone stitched dash, and black headliner are standard. Edition One puddle lamps cast a logo onto the ground beneath the driver and passenger door, just because.

If You Like Audi A6, Wait Until You See The 2020 Audi S6

If You Like Audi A6, Wait Until You See The 2020 Audi S6 The 2020 Audi S6 debuts with a mild-hybrid V6 with electric turbochargers.
The new S6 also receives a new eight-speed automatic and Quattro AWD.
Pricing for the new Audi S6 starts just below $74,000. Expect it this fall.
The previous model Audi S6 came with a monstrous turbocharged V8 engine. That car had 450 tire-shredding horsepower and hit 60 mph in four seconds flat. If the BMW M550i is a sporty luxury car, you can think of the 2020 Audi S6 as a luxury car with sporting apprehensions.
Confused? Don’t be. Yes, there’s a difference between the two. And we’ll get more into that in a bit.
Still, if you’re pining for the A6, I’m betting the 2020 S6 will more than tickle your fancy.
Electrified Turbocharging
The normal A6 comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with a 48-volt mild hybrid assist system. It produces 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque. The engine connects to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive system. It allows the car to register a zero to 60 time of 4.8 seconds.
But for the new S6, Audi needs something to pace with the hot Mercedes-AMG E53 saloon, a car utilizing EQ Boost electrification and an on-board, 48-volt electrical system to produce 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft. of torque. The biggest rival of the new Audi A6 is the hotter BMW M550i, which came with a 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 mill with 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft. of torque. And if you really need to know, the M550i has the same engine and power output as the M850i Gran Coupe.
As you can see, the 2020 Audi A6 is facing serious competition.
Audi did the next best thing: load the new S6 with mind-numbing amounts of technology. The new 2.9-liter TFSI V6 is now equipped with electric turbochargers. The turbos draw power from the on-board 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Having electric turbochargers is a good thing. For starters, it doesn’t rely on exhaust pressure to spin wildly, which essentially means zero turbo lag at any engine speed. This also means the turbos can spool up instantaneously and provide an immediate response, according to Audi.
With that being said, the new electrified V6 churns out 444 horsepower and 443 lb-ft. of torque, so you won’t exactly miss the lack of cylinders under the bonnet.
Photo: Audi of America, Inc.
New Eight-Speed Automatic & Quattro AWD
The 2020 Audi S6 now comes with a new eight-speed Tiptronic automatic. The transmission replaces the dual-clutch seven-speed unit in the outgoing model. It also happens to be more capable of matching the low-end torque of the revised V6. Also standard is Audi’s Quattro AWD system with wheel-selective torque control. It delivers 60 percent of the available power to the rear axles, and 40 percent to the front in normal driving. The AWD system can shift as much as 70 percent of available torque to the front or 85 percent to the rear axle in demanding situations.
If you want to drive like a lunatic in your Audi S6, don’t forget the available Quattro sport differential. The system splits torque between the left and right rear wheel to enhance cornering agility. If you push hard, it can nearly transfer all torque to one wheel. The optional S Sport Package includes dynamic all-wheel steering, a throatier sports exhaust, and luscious red brake calipers. Throw in some more coin, and you get a sport-tuned suspension with adaptive damping.
Sportier Exterior Design
The new Audi S6 also receives a mild exterior makeover. It has S-model front and rear bumpers, aluminum exterior side mirrors, and a double-slat Singleframe grille in a platinum finish. The car also receives an alu-optic front splitter, a rear diffuser inlay in a black chrome matte finish, and four tailpipes. Standard are 20-inch wheels with summer performance tires. You can opt for larger 21-inch wheels if you live in places with pothole-free roads.
Audi A6 interior layout. Photo: Audi of America, Inc.
Immaculate Interior
Interior fit and finish is one of Audi’s biggest strengths. The cabin is home to soft-touch plastics, leather, and metal trim. The switchgear clicks and clacks with German precision while the seats are comfortable enough to cradle the driver and passengers on those long and arduous journeys.
The 2020 Audi S6 has sporty seats wrapped in Valcona leather, a heated and multi-functional three-spoke steering wheel (with an S emblem), and stainless-steel door sills with an illuminated S logo. The car also comes standard with MMI navigation, 10.1-inch upper and 8.6-inch lower touchscreen displays, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a full suite of driver assistance features. The Audi Virtual Cockpit with Google Earth integration is standard as well.
2020 Audi S6 Pricing & Availability
The 2020 Audi S6 starts at $73,900 for the Premium Plus trim and $77,800 for the Prestige trim. The new S6 has a lower base price than the BMW M550i xDrive but is more costly than the Mercedes-AMG E53. The S6 is in the middle of the price range since it also ranks between the BMW and Mercedes-Benz in terms of power output.
As it stands, the new Audi S6 is a proper luxury car. It exists in the same realm as the Mercedes-AMG E53, although both have the required muscle to run wild on the Autobahn. However, the BMW M550i is a genuine sports sedan with a luxurious cabin. Want proof? The Beamer has more power than both the Benz and Audi. Enough said.
However, if you prefer the apathetic styling of Audi vehicles, the S6 will make you smile. First deliveries begin near the end of the year.

Don’t Lose Your Cool! Heatwave Tips For Drivers Everywhere

Don’t Lose Your Cool! Heatwave Tips For Drivers Everywhere Higher temps during the summer months can have an adverse impact on your vehicle.
These essential heatwave tips for your car will help when the temps peak this summer.
Summer can be a dangerous time for drivers and their vehicles. Not only are record-numbers of individuals and families hitting the roads for vacations, adding to already-congested freeways, heatwaves and unexpected weather can cause a trip to go south quickly if you’re unprepared. Many drivers don’t realize that extremely hot temperatures can be just as detrimental to a vehicle’s systems as the extreme cold. The good news is, with regular servicing and a little DIY upkeep, your car can withstand any seasonal changes or long trips it endures!
Be Proactive & Keep On Schedule
The most beneficial thing you can do for your car is adhere to a strict maintenance schedule and perform tasks “by the book,” or according to the manufacturer’s recommended time frames. “Knowing what the owner’s manual says will help you maintain your car properly,” said Brandon Grade, Service Advisor at Findlay Toyota in Las Vegas, Nevada. “The people who built the car will know what should be done to maintain it.”
If you have a regular mechanic or dealership for your service work and state inspections, they likely keep records on your vehicle. However, it’s also important to keep track of service dates and what tasks were performed yourself. Hold on to all receipts in the event any records are lost, or you move and need to take your car to another shop.
What To Have Checked
I like to recommend a spring/fall check-up schedule. It ensures your car is getting attention before and after the harshest times of the year: winter and summer. Breakdowns are particularly unpleasant during these times of year. It’s also always best to have issues with heating and cooling systems addressed before temperatures take a sharp turn in either direction. “On most summer road trips, you’re driving for three to four hours at a time, so that puts unusual pressure on the engine and coolant system,” explained Vic Sias, Senior Head of Service Management, YourMechanic. “Inspecting your entire coolant system is the first step to making sure your car is ready for the road.”
A few other things to make sure you have checked:
Tires – Bubbles, cracks or other signs of damage are major red flags. An overheated tire (which can happen as a result of ambient temperatures and/or high speeds) is more susceptible to a blowout, particularly if the rubber compounds are already compromised. If your service professional points any of these things out, it’s time to replace your tires.
“They are what keep a car connected to the road,” said John Nielsen, AAA’s Managing Director of Automotive Engineering and Repair. “With newer cars going longer intervals between routine maintenance at automotive service facilities, drivers may not become alerted to the fact their tires are too worn until it’s too late.”
Fluid Levels – Make sure your mechanic is checking all fluids, especially radiator coolant heading into summer. Be mindful of the oil viscosity they’re using as hotter temperatures can call for a higher oil weight to compensate for engine wear. However, this might not be necessary if you have a newer car. Do your homework and ask questions, especially if you don’t want to get unnecessarily up-charged!
“When doing your research, people will give you real world experience rather than hypothetical, perfect scenario results,” Grade said. “That’s why I always advise everyone to look at customer reviews for anything they buy related to their car.”
Don’t Overlook Small Things
Windshield Wipers – You should aim to replace the blades twice a year, particularly if you live in an area that experiences major changes in season and the unpredictable weather that comes with it. This is something drivers might only think of during cold months, when defrosting is required. However, you don’t want to get caught off guard with sub-par wiper blades during a thunderstorm or sudden downpour. Make sure the rear wiper is changed as well, if you have one.
Battery – Like your tires, a battery is adversely affected by heat. Your battery and charging system should be professionally-tested once a year; consider replacing a battery before it fails, about every four-to-five years. If you can’t remember how long you’ve had a battery, it’s definitely time for a check or even a replacement, particularly if you’re approaching a summer road trip!
AAA finds that driving on relatively worn tires at highway speeds and on wet surfaces can increase stopping distances by nearly 90 feet. That’s more than the length of an eighteen-wheeler. Consider upgrading your tires if they currently measure 4/32″ or less.
Related: Airbag recalls: quick facts and how to check your vehicle.
Filling In The Gaps With DIY Checks
If you’re keeping to the spring and fall maintenance schedule and driving normally, you shouldn’t run into any major issues or surprises. However, you should get into the habit of performing a quick check yourself before heading out on a long trip or when you know there’s a heatwave coming. “Whether changing the oil, replacing the wiper blades or checking the tires and brakes, finding the time to perform simple preventative maintenance ensures a safer, more dependable vehicle,” said Rich White, Executive Director of the Car Care Council.
A few spots to pay special attention to during the summer include:
Tires – This one’s making a second appearance because I cannot reiterate the importance of good tire maintenance enough. Checking your tire pressure before a long drive is always important. During the summer, this becomes even more crucial due to the detrimental effects of heat and friction at high speeds. Always check your tire pressure in the morning when it’s cooler or after your car has been parked in a shady area for a while. Hot temperatures can cause pressure to skew higher, giving you an inaccurate reading. Stick to the recommended pressures found on the tire label, usually located in the driver’s door jamb. And don’t forget to check your spare!
“The summer heat is especially bad for tires. In the heat, asphalt temperature can top 140 degrees,” Sias said. “If tires are under inflated and get too hot, they’ll start peeling apart and shredding on the road.”
Radiator Check – An easy fix to keep air flowing in your vehicle is to clear the front radiator of leaves, bugs or any other debris that might have gathered there. You can address this easily with a hose.
Remember The Small Things
Air Filters – Switching out your engine and cabin air filters is an easy task and something that will reduce stress on your engine during the hottest parts of the year. Swapping out cabin air filters coated with dirt or pollen will also make your interior much more comfortable while you blast the A/C during a heatwave!
Under The Hood – Eyeball all fluid levels, even if they have been serviced recently, to make sure none are too low. Also, when you’re facing a heat wave, check that your battery terminals are clean, tightly clamped, and coated with protectant. “Maintaining your car is just like maintaining your home,” Sias said. “If you don’t clean your kitchen for a year, it’ll become greasy and unsafe.”

Related: Is an aftermarket car warranty right for you? Here are the facts.
Don’t Forget To Accessorize!
Lastly, there are countless aftermarket add-ons and tools available that can give you added protection against the elements and help preserve your car’s value. If you frequently park in direct sunlight, consider sun shades, which guard against interior fading. They can also help your car stay cool. All-weather floormats can be removed and cleaned easily with a hose, and are also a great investment. While they’re typically associated with cold weather and snow, they are equally as effective against sand, grass, and dirt (and spilled summer snacks). They also protect your original mats against high foot traffic.
Driving through a heat wave, even if you’re on vacation, can be less than enjoyable. However, with a little diligence, general upkeep and the right accessories, your car will stay running smoothly all summer long, keeping passengers safe, cool, and happy.

Buick Enspire Concept Debuts In China

Buick Enspire Concept Debuts In China The Buick Enspire all-electric concept SUV has made its global debut in China, billed as an exploration of the brand’s design ideas and innovative technologies for future mobility. With the Enspire name, Buick retains the general practice of using the letter “e” for their SUV nomenclature; Enclave, Envision, and Encore.
Power & Performance
Buick was slim on the details but the Enspire has advanced propulsion technology, allowing the concept to travel 370 miles on a single charge. The propulsion system, dubbed “eMotion” by Buick, generates a maximum power output of 410 kW and can launch the vehicle to 60 in four seconds. Buick says the Enspire supports both fast and wireless charging, and the battery can be charged to 80 percent within 40 minutes.

Styling & Technology
The “surround skyline” interior theme is really of note. Buick says this is a suspended theater-type seating arrangement, meant to open up the cabin for occupants. There is an OLED screen, an augmented reality heads-up display system, and 5G connectivity.
Judging by the press photos, the interior is smooth and streamlined with most of the vehicle’s functions being controlled either by voice, gesture, or touch. Although Buick did not specify, the interior looks befitting of an autonomous vehicle.
Typical to most concepts, the body is aerodynamic and nicely sculpted.

Availability & In Person
Unfortunately, Buick did not reveal their long-range plans for the Enspire. Given Buick’s presence and following in China, it’s likely to see a release there first if anywhere. No word on if it will arrive in the United States or other nations. In the meantime, the Enspire Concept will be on display at Auto China 2018 in Beijing from April 25th until May 4th.

The new Odyssey has a 3.5-liter V6 engine, complete with direct injection and Honda’s i-VTEC and Variable Cylinder Management systems to increase performance and efficiency. The engine comes mated to either a nine- or ten-speed automatic, depending on trim level. The engine, which produces a healthy 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft. of torque, carries an EPA fuel economy rating of 19/28 city/highway and 22 combined.
During our extensive test drive of the current 2018 Odyssey, we believed the 3.5-liter V6 had enough power for all driving situations. We found the transmission was smooth-shifting and thought the rear sunshades were a nice touch.

Safety & Technology
The Honda Sensing package of advanced safety features is standard and includes Collision and Road Departure Mitigation Systems, Lane Keeping Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control. On the tech front, there is everything from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to in-vehicle Wi-Fi and an entertainment system with Blu-Ray and streaming video.
Of note is the CabinWatch feature, available for the Touring and Elite. CabinWatch allows parents to view their kids in the back via the eight-inch display screen, and even talk to them through the rear speakers or wireless headphones if the Rear Entertainment System is equipped.
Pricing & Manufacturing
The entry-level Odyssey LX starts at $31,065, with the mid-range EX-L coming in at $38,585. At the top of the mountain are the Touring and Elite trims, coming in at $45,635 and $47,945 respectively.
The 2019 Honda Odyssey was researched, designed, and engineered by Honda R&D Americas in Raymond, Ohio. The Odyssey and its engine are produced exclusively by Honda Manufacturing of Alabama in Lincoln, Alabama.
